An ideal book to unravel your sub-conscious

Did you know that your mind has a 'mind' of its own? Yes! Without even realizing, our mind is often governed by another entity which is called the sub-conscious mind.

This book can bring to your notice the innate power that the sub-conscious holds. We have some traits which seem like habits, but in reality these are those traits which are directly controlled by the sub-conscious mind, vis-à-vis your habits or your routine can be changed if you can control and direct your sub-conscious mind positively. To be able to control this 'mind power' and use it to improve the quality of your life is no walk in the park. This is where this book acts as a guide and allows you to decipher the depths of the sub-conscious.
In this book, 'The power of your subconscious mind', the author fuses his spiritual wisdom and scientific research to bring to light how the sub-conscious mind can be a major influence on our daily lives. WD 4TB My Book Review

WD My Book Review

WD has refreshed several of their highly popular portable and external storage solutions, including the My Passport, My Passport for Mac, and the My Book, the latter which we will be looking at for this review. The newly designed external storage solutions feature a new modern, sleek-looking build that is noticeably smaller than the previous model as well as a generous 8TB in maximum capacity.

The company’s automatic backup solution, WD Backup, is also included. We’ve touched on this software in many of our WD reviews, indicating that it allows users easily manage all their content via a clean, user-friendly process. More specifically, the handy backup automatically protects all of your files on your computer with on-premise backups to a WD drive as primary storage. Off-premise backups are sent to the cloud, which is useful for increased protection and disaster recovery. You can also further protect your files using the included password protection and hardware encryption.
WD My Book Specifications
  • Capacities: 3TB, 4TB, 6TB, 8TB
  • Interface: USB 3.0
  • Dimensions:
  • Weight:
  • Warranty:  3 years
Design and build
The new WD My Book is both smaller and uses very different design than the older model, as it now sports angled corners compared to the rounded front panel used before. In other terms, it looks a lot less like an actual book now; however, it still uses a  3.5" HDD.
Conclusion
Overall, WD’s new My Book is a solid choice for the general consumer looking for a solution to back up a large amount of data, such images of their entire computer and large media files, leveraging a relatively large storage pool of 4TB. Moreover, the WD Backup software gives users will a seamless and easy way to manage and back up all their content to either the WD drive as primary storage, or to the cloud off-premises. That being said, all of this was possible in previous models of the My Book Line, as nothing else has been upgraded besides the new modern looking, more compact design. Though the more design-savvy consumers will appreciate this.
Pros
  • New modern, compact design
  • Easy-to-use backup software
  • Good performance for its intended application
Cons
  • No component upgrades
Bottom Line
Though only an upgrade in appearance and size, the new 4TB My Book offers mainstream consumers with a very reliable way to back up their content via a generous capacity point.

Cooler Master Hyper 103 Review

  • Cooler Master exclusive X-Vent and Air-Guide technology optimize the air flow toward heatpipes and ultimately reduce CPU temperature.
  • 3 direct Contact heatpipes with stylish aluminum fins to provide excellent heat dissipation.
  • 92mm wide range PWM blue LED fan, RPM can be fine tuned for maximum airflow or whisper quiet operation.
  • New tool-free mounting system for trouble-less installation.
Overview

The Cooler Master Hyper 103 is an affordable mainstream heatsink, delivering great cooling performance on all modern platforms. The special fin design combined with Cooler Master’s exclusive X-Vent and Air-Guide technology optimizes air flow toward the heatpipes. The Hyper 103's 92mm PWM fan features a wide range for the fan speed and can be fine-tuned for maximum airflow or silent operation. The low profile tower heatsink is a great match for smaller systems.

Patented Air-Guide Technology

Funnel shaped aluminum fins and a series of perforated dimples help to guide the airflow towards the heatpipes, greatly reducing CPU temperature.

Cooler Master exclusive X-Vent

Positioned in a 45 degree angle and surrounding the heatpipe, each fin-blade features X-shaped vents that create areas of high and low air pressure, resulting in several controlled vortices. These small and chaotic turbulences produce strong gusts that reduce overall airflow but improves airflow where it matters the most – next to the heatpipes.

3 Direct Contact Heatpipes

The base is engineered to minimize CPU contact gaps and stylish aluminum fins provide excellent heat dissipation.

Wide-range 92mm PWM Fan

The Hyper 103’s 92mm PWM fan features a wide speed range and can be fine-tuned for maximum cooling performance or silent operation. The low profile tower heatsink is the perfect match for small systems.

Tool-free Mounting System

New tool-free mounting system ensures hassle-free installation. Universal retention brackets are compatible with latest Intel and AMD socket CPU.

Seagate IronWolf 10TB Internal NAS Hard Drive Review

Last issue we reviewed Seagate’s new IronWolf NAS hard drive, and now we have its new desktop product in the Labs. The Barracuda Pro comes in 6TB, 8TB and 10TB flavours, and with a 7,200RPM rotational speed it’s quick – in fact Seagate is claiming it’s the fastest range of hard drives for that capacity range.

But that’s not, as they say: all. Each drive in Seagate’s Barracuda Pro range sports a very healthy 256MB of cache – for comparison the best WD has to offer is 128MB on its 4TB – 6TB Black range. And Seagate has the edge in capacity too, with WD topping out at 6TB for its Blue range of desktop drives. Toshiba can’t compete, either. It’s large capacity desktop drives also spin at 7,200RPM, but have half the cache of the new Seagate.
So Seagate is owning the competition in capacity, rotational speed and cache – and not by small margins, either. The cache and spinner speed translate into very quick benchtest numbers. Seagate’s own claims are a maximum sustained transfer rate of 220MB/s, but our testing returned numbers that bested even those impressive speeds. We recorded read speeds of 239MB/s and write speeds of 224MB/s. That’s mighty impressive performance for a hard drive – let alone one that manages an equally impressive 10TB capacity.
To top it all off, Seagate is offering a five-year warranty as standard. WD’s warranty period for desktop Blue drives is two years, as is Toshiba’s. Pricing is reasonable, although at the time of going to press we haven’t been told what the 6TB and 8TB drives will cost.
Here’s a hard drive with a mammoth 10TB capacity, performance that’s close to half that of most SATA SSDS – which is quite the compliment – and a five-year warranty to boot. We’ve been hearing good things, too, from our friends in retail about Seagate’s very much improved reliability in recent months. At this point in time this is the hard drive to have if you want a big and fast one.
